Eric (pt II)

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - it's getting chilly.

Eric is way ahead of all of us with his incredibly stylish woolly hat - and we hear he's also bugging his carer Ilona to put the heating on.

That otter!

Chabas (pt VI)

Chabas has a boozy lunch in Palma de Mallorca!

Chabas (pt V - A Heart-Warming Tale)

One day, Chabas was feeling a deep nostalgia for his creator.

He felt so strongly, he wrote it again.  This time in Arabic.

His colleagues were concerned.  They tried to cheer him up.

They even offered him chocolate.

But nothing would comfort him.

So his kind carer Lucy smuggled him to the UK in her bag and secretly brought him out for the evening to a place where Sarah would be.

Chabas and Sarah were reunited at last.

Orla

Meet Orla.

How completely awesome is Orla?

She has gone to live with Katie, who tells us:

'(This is) Orla, kicking back as she sneaks in a practice for her silent disco set in the rather spectacular barn at Fair Oak 40 Fest, 2014. She didn't fancy the brunch, even though I told her about the delicious smoked salmon.
I love her. Finding out she is also a dj has only strengthened the bond, although otter music takes a little getting used to. Bit fishy.'

Ray Lee Otter

Ray Lee Otter (get it?) was adopted by Ilona for her friend Staci.

After a shaky start where he was caught  'eating Staci's birthday cake and nicking her wine' he turned things around nicely by visiting Staci's chum in hospital with a bunch of red roses.  Good boy.

Otter

One of our otter chums has moved to Westchester County in New York!

We're not sure what his name is (maybe he's an anonym-otter) but he's been hanging out with new pal Jack (who apparently likes to put Otter's tail in his mouth).

Luke Talks To The Animals

Luke is quite possibly the busiest otter ever.  I think he might be angling for his own blog and may even have his own agent by now for all we know.

He's been making friends with Heidy's new bunny, Dorian.

And also snacking with Dorian and neighbouring beaver Tuluk.  We are loving this cute photo.

Augustus And The Sleeping Bag

Augustus has been spotted getting into young Theo's sleeping bag!

He might be practising for the festival season.

Luke & The Tattoo Convention

Wowee!  It looks as if Luke is a very busy and adventurous little otter, as we've just received some quite astounding pics of him at a tattoo and piercing convention in Dortmund, Germany.

I think he managed to avoid getting tattooed and pierced but he did make a lot of friends.

"So here I am at the convention"

All eyes on Luke . . .

"Shall I get my face painted like this lady?"

She definitely needs a Luke tattoo on that arm

Oh, Luke!  You are a one!

Ding dong! Luke is a real ladies' otter

JJ Abrams - we think you need another Luke in the new Star Wars movie

"So. . . it's a toss up between a clam on my tummy or fish on my bum . . ."

And finally, here is our favourite, favourite picture.

Luke, you are our hero.

Thank you to Heidy for taking Luke out on such a fun day and for all the brilliant pictures.

Dinner's On Luke!

It seems that Luke is a generous little otter, as he's treated Heidy and Elke to dinner.

Make sure you don't get red wine on your lovely white bib, Luke.

Looks like half pepperoni, half tuna.  Which half is Luke's?

Good thing you have your Scampi Moo otter purse, Luke.

Luke

Elke bought Luke as a gift for Heidy, and he's gone to live in Germany.

Firstly, he's been introduced to Jenny the dog (who seems quite happy to see him) and Heidy has promised lots of trips and adventures, so we can't wait to see those.

Before he left, Luke was a model for a few photos.  Check him in this one! The sharp of eye will notice he's wearing Augustus's bobble hat.  He did give it back though.)

ONE HOUR LATER

Luke has just seen this post and was so excited, he's made Heidy take more photos.  Let's see them then, Luke!

It's official. Jenny and Luke are in love.

Luke is also making other animal friends.  We love this one.

No Luke, I don't think that otter's going to share his fish with you.

These otters might though.

Mungo, Splash & Tarquin

I am very much liking this great photo sent in by Bosun Smee - who has his hands full with three of us.

He writes:
'Mungo, Splash and Tarquin over in the Outer Hebrides are waiting for the sun to come out so they can hit the beaches...enjoying Skye's photos indoors for now.'

Och Aye Augustus

Well, we've just had Augustus's holiday snaps sent through and we like them very much!  Augustus has been holidaying with his carer Skye in the Isle of Skye (!) and although he didn't see any fellow otters, he appears to have had a very nice time.

Augustus approves of the view.  Looks like good otter country!

He fits right in!

Augustus poses proudly with Skye. On Skye.

We love this beautiful shot.  What is it with the Shark Alley Otters and waterfalls?

Well, come on - where are all the other otters then?

Augustus still can't see them!

Ah well, at least they have each other.

Augustus Prepares

A little birdie has told us here at Fuzzy Towers that one of our chums is off on another holiday.

When am I going to get mine, for heaven's sake?

Anyway, here's a sneaky look at Augustus preparing for the isle of Skye by making sure his new woolly hat fits over his ears.

I might need to borrow that when you get back, Augustus.

Chabas (pt IV)

I'm thinking Chabas needs to get his OWN blog. He's all over this one!

Never mind - we really love seeing all his exotic adventures and this one's a corker.  Chabas is in Doha, throwing himself into the Arabian spirit with the help of a tissue and a hair band.

Ladies, gentlemen and fellow otters - may I present Chabas Of Arabia.

Chabas (pt III)

Chabas's carer Lucy has just sent me this picture of Chabas on YET ANOTHER holiday.  It's Thailand this time and here he is splashing about in Kho Phi Phi.

I do hope you didn't make Phi Phi in that nice turquoise water, Chabas.

Tarquin, Mungo & Splash

A Letter From The Outer Hebrides
Tarquin is settling in with Mungo and Splash well...between the two of us it will do the boys well to have a more learned and calming influence amidst them. The younger ones are doing well and in recent months have been busying themselves around the house making holts out of any scraps of material, newspapers and the throw cushions from the sofa. Mungo is continuously devising cunning schemes of adventure, that can only be belayed by trips away to Harris, Eriskay and Barra...and once they are on the beach they run riot, frolicking amongst the kelp and weeds, watching the rockpools and rings of bright water, fishing, eating pond weed and trying to make friends with the other otter families...which does not always bode well. Poor little Splash does not understand why the other otters feel threatened by him and his brother, but I have tried to explain the nature of wild otter communities many times, bless him. It snowed yesterday and I came home to find them on the window sill looking up, on asking what they were up too..."looking for Mr Christmas" the replied came. Silly things. I think the move for us from Hampstead (albeit they loved their freedom on the heath) to the Outer Hebrides has done the family (adults included) wonders, although we are all longing for the summer, and long bright days stretched out on the Machair.

I hope all is well in Brighton,

Kindest Regards and Warm Wishes,

Mungo, Splash, Tarquin
and
Bosun and Magdalena

Stan (pt III)

Stan the fearless otter continues his South American adventures - this time in Brazil.

Dining with man in a strange pointy hat.
Continuing on his quest for exotic birds - it's parrots this time.
With Jesus on Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Really leaning in to get a better view of Rio de Janeiro.
The view from Sugar Loaf Mountain. WOW.
